The SAS
The SAS, or Saracens Association of Supporters, was founded at the beginning of the 2004/5 season in recognition of the fact that Women's rugby in the UK is now at a stage where it attracts good support, not only from retired players, but also from many who have become involved with the Club in one way or another. Specifically, Saracens Women always attracts a strong attendance from supporters at home and away fixtures.
Membership is free and members will receive regular email match reports written by SAS members. Such reports do not necessarily always focus on what went on on the pitch itself, but they do give some idea of the fun had on the day in question, together with the score, and an indication of which way the result went! We also try to make a habit of awarding a bottle of champagne to the player of the match at home games, awarded by the SAS members who watched the game.
The SAS match reports also enable ex players and supporters who now live in far flung corners of the earth to stay in touch with the Club and with what is going on, and therefore to keep us growing this area of the Club. We regularly receive good luck messages from around the World before big games.
