I would like to think this message will be past on to the appropriate authorities within your club and the RFU. I understand that your 1st team are presently in 4th place in there League 3 points behind Hitchin with 1 game left to play. I also understand that 3 teams may be promoted this season for league re-structuring purposes. It has come to my attention that Hitchin may have unwittingly broken league rules by playing a Robert Willoughby in a League game last weekend. Robert has been a long time Hertford Player who played for Hertford in the Hertfordshire Cup Semi Final match Against Bishop's Stortford on the 15thMarch. Please visit Hertford Web site Match reports came on in the 60th minute as a sub. It would then appear that he played for Hitchin against Old Verulamians on the 29th March. Reference Hitchin web site match report. Robert Started and scored a try. I believe that the window for Player registration under League rules closes at the end of February. If this is the case then Hitchin may well have the 2 match points deducted and a further 2 points for playing an eligible player (not registered).
