Sarries flanker Maggie Alphonsi led England to a winnning start against Ireland in the World Cup. Maggie made over 24 tackles several bone crunching hits that Sky TV replayed in slow mo! She sealed her Sky Player of The Match to get the last try and try bonus for England.
Our Canadian players also made a winning start beating Scotland 37-10.

Sarries players have been named to start in the opening games of the WC: England Hooker, Amy Garnett and Maggie Alphonsi 7, get the start against Ireland. Charlotte Barras, who has missed most of the season injured has made an incredible return to be named on the bench.
Canadian players lesley Cripps and Sarah Ulmer AKA Angel and Alma start for Canada at prop and 12. Angel is the captain of Canada for this years WC.
You can watch our England girls' when they KO against Ireland at Sky Sports 2 6:30pm Friday 20th August.

Sarries Women will start pre season training Thursday 2nd September.
Training will take place at the Sarries Ground Green Rd Southgate 7:30pm start to 9:00pm.
Saracens welcome new players of any standard. The club also require volunteers who may be interested in team management or filming games.

IRB Womens World Cup Sky TV have released their coverage for this years event.

Saracens Women provide 5 players for the 2010 IRB World Cup. The World Cup kicks off on August the 20th at Srrey Sports Park.
Sarries have a strong tradition of representative honours. This season is no exception. England:
Amy Garnett, Maggie Alphonsi and Charlotte Barras.
Canada: Sarah Ulmer and Lesley Cripps.

Fitness training Monday 7:30-8:30pm.
Sonia Green is running the pre season conditioning programme. Monday night is hard but enjoyable. A session includes: endurance running, intervals and sprints, core exercises and body weight drills.
Sonia is always around to give support and guidance for your pre season preparation.
